The comedy writing team of Peter Desberg and Jeffrey Davis will present a free Nov. 5 lecture, "Show Me the Funny! Creating Comedy in Real Time and Overcoming Pitch Panic," at Cal State Fullerton.

In the research for their book, "Show Me the Funny! At the Writers' Table With Hollywood's Top Comedy Writers," the authors focus on results obtained from 27 comedy writers who described how they work at developing characters, conflict and story within the arc of an interview.
