Benjamin J. Hubbard, Cal State Fullerton emeritus professor of comparative religion, will deliver an Oct. 9 talk at the Fullerton Public Library on the challenges faced by Jews in America and in Israel. The free, public event is part of the library and Cal State Fullerton’s Town and Gown lecture series.

Hubbard, co-author of “An Educator’s Classroom Guide to America’s Religious Beliefs and Practices” (2007) and “America’s Religions: An Educator’s Guide to Beliefs and Practices” (1997), has taught comparative religion courses at Cal State Fullerton for 27 years. He served as department chair for 15 years. Hubbard’s areas of expertise include Jewish studies, Biblical studies, world religions and religion and media studies.
