'Pathways to Higher Education' Conference Will Offer Practical Assistance Oct. 27

What:

Cal State Fullerton’s Gear Up, Talent Search and Upward Bound programs are partnering with state Sen. Lou Correa, the Parent Institute for Quality Education and UC Irvine to provide a “Pathways to Higher Education Conference” Oct. 27. The campus conference, geared for high school students and their parents, is free and open to the public.

When:           

Saturday, Oct. 27
9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Cal State Fullerton, Mihaylo Hall courtyard
800 N. State College Blvd., Fullerton 92834

Highlights:     

The program will include workshops on the California State University and University of California application process, financial aid, applying for scholarships and college student life. Students are encouraged to bring their personal statements for their college applications and have them read by on-site professionals, who will provide feedback. Parents also will be given information about  higher education and financial aid.
