Fulbright Scholar Discusses Sport Doping Oct. 30

What/Who:
Fulbright Scholar Paul Dimeo, who teaches sports policy at the University of Stirling in Scotland, will deliver an Oct. 30 lecture on the history of doping by elite athletes. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Dimeo is the author of “
A History of Drug Use in Sport: 1876-1976:
Beyond Good and Evil”
(Routledge, 2007).
“Paul Dimeo is one of the leading experts in the world on the history of drug use in sports,” said John T. Gleaves, assistant professor of kinesiology. “His talk should shed light on recent events, such as the Lance Armstrong doping scandal, by looking at the state of doping, past and present.”
