Local Artist Exhibits ‘Border Theory’ Paintings
Aug. 27, 2012
A new body of work by Tony de los Reyes will be showcased Sept. 1 through Nov. 14 in the Grand Central Art Center in Santa Ana. “Border Theory” paintings combine two “orders” — abstract painting and the border that separates Mexico and the United States. Their relationship concerns components that are inherent in each: the demarcation of space through a conceptual framework, and its resulting material manifestation.
The opening reception will be held 7-10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1. The exhibit hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays and Sundays; 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. For more information, visit the Grand Central Art Center website or call 714-567-4145.
