Concert Choir Makes Spirits Bright
Dec. 9, 2013
Soprano Amanda Achen sang “O Holy Night” as a featured student soloist.
The songs of the season filled Portola Pavilion Friday night for the 25th annual “A Carol Candlelight Dinner,” which attracted some 200 attendees for a benefit concert and dinner.
The event was presented by the Music Department and Music Associates and featured the CSUF Concert Choir conducted by Christopher Peterson, professor of music, with accompanist Mark Salters.
Sandy Johnson, president of the Music Associates and event chair; CSUF President Mildred García; and College of the Arts Dean Joe Arnold welcomed attendees and offered thanks for supporting “these remarkable student performers.” Proceeds from the event fund scholarships for music students.
