Danish Graphic Arts Students Collaborate With CSUF Counterparts
Sept. 26, 2013
Eight Danish graphic arts students and their CSUF counterparts will present the results of their collaboration Friday, Sept. 27, before a group of their peers, faculty members and administrators. Students from the University College of Northern Denmark (UCND) have been visiting the campus to learn about American-style design and to work with Cal State Fullerton students to create a brochure/poster that integrates both countries' forms of graphic design.
John Drew, professor of art, in cooperation with University Extended Education, has been hosting the students and their professor, René Bennyson. During the past few weeks, guest speakers from UCND, CSUF and two other universities have presented lectures to art students and faculty.
"This collaboration exemplifies a way to integrate high-impact practices and create global opportunities for CSUF students that are outlined in the University's strategic plan," said Melem Sharpe-Kwon, manager of international instructional development and management.
The presentation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon in Room 260 of the Visual Arts Center.
