Celebrating Dia de Los Muertos Nov. 6-7

Dia de Los Muertos will be celebrated on campus Nov. 6 and 7 in two separate programs. Both events will feature live music and dance performances, a candlelight vigil, face-painting and Mexican sweet bread. Both programs are free and open to the public.
The Wednesday, Nov. 6, program is sponsored by the Chicana and Chicano Studies Alliance and will be held from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. in the Humanities-Social Sciences plaza, the Quad and along Titan Walk. In addition to the performances, the program will include sugar skull decorating and Ofrenda (altar) workshops.
MEChA (Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan) celebrates its 20th consecutive Dia de Los Muertos celebration Thursday, Nov. 7, from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. in the Quad and the Humanities-Social Sciences plaza. For more information, call 657-278-3846.
