New Faculty Books in Print

Sixteen progressive western intellectuals, writers and artists — including John Steinbeck and Américo Paredes — are the subject of the recently published "Regionalists on the Left: Radical Voices From the American West" edited by Michael C. Steiner, professor emeritus of American studies, and published by University of Oklahoma Press. The book's contributors are John D. Mearns, chair and professor of psychology, and Stephen J. Mexal, associate professor of English, comparative literature and linguistics.
Four other books were recently published by Titan faculty members.
Through the lives of Dominican drug robbers, Randol Contreras , assistant professor of sociology, explores the ravages of the drug trade in "The Stickup Kids: Race, Drugs, Violence and the American Dream" published by University of California Press.
Edward J. Fink , professor of radio-TV-film and director of the Faculty Development Center, published "Dramatic Story Structure: A Primer for Screenwriters," with Routledge.
Mohinder S. Grewal , professor of electrical engineering, authored a solution manual for the third edition of "Global Navigation Satellite Systems, Inertial Navigation and Integration," published by John Wiley & Sons Inc.
Bogdan Suceava , professor of mathematics, published "Memoirs From an Ideal Library" in Romanian with Polirom Press. Suceava also co-authored "New Curvature Inequalities for Hypersurfaces in the Euclidean Ambient Space" published in the May issue of the Taiwanese Journal of Mathematics, with four student co-authors — undergraduate students Rebecca Etnyre and Brady Gardener, alumni Charles T.R. Conley, who is pursuing his doctorate at Vanderbilt University, and Lucy H. Odom, who is working on her master's degree in mathematics at San Francisco State University.
