Campus Celebrates International Education Week

Students and other campus members are invited to take part in a celebration of International Education Nov. 18-21. "Connecting Our Worlds, Sharing Our Experiences," sponsored by International Education and Exchange, features discussions, language lessons, music and dance performances. Among the events:

Tuesday, Nov. 19

  • "For the Love of Music" — 11:30-2 p.m. interactive event featuring various world music performances as well as an introduction to genres and instruments. Room 120 of the Clayes Performing Arts Center
  • "Dancing for Peace" — noon-1 p.m. group dance led by students leaders from different cultures. Becker Amphitheatre

Wednesday, Nov. 20

  • "Mini Language Lessons" — 4-6 p.m. short — 15 minute — lessons in such languages as Arabic, French, Japanese, Korean, Spanish and Vietnamese. Beginning, intermediate and advance levels. Room 150 in the Juniper Building, Residence Halls

Thursday, Nov. 21

  • "International Academia Networking and Roundtable Discussion" — 10:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. discussions by American and international students comparing the academic cultures and professional goals in other countries and internationally. Ontiveros Rooms B and C, Titan Student Union
