Sept. 25, 2013
An exhibition featuring historical images of Orange County opens Oct. 7 and will be shown in the Salz-Pollak Atrium Gallery through Dec. 20. "An Orange County Portrait: The Smart Studio Collection" is held by Pollak Library's University Archives and Special Collections.
More than 75 black-and-white photographs examine the transformation of Orange County as seen through the lenses of prominent landscape and portrait photographers Benjamin F. Conaway, Lou Hickox and Mary Smart. The photos depict the county before its establishment and through the mid-20th century.
A special open house is set for noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 10 in the gallery. For more information, contact Trish Campbell at email@example.com.
