University Police Kick Off Food Drive
Nov. 7, 2013
Campus and community members interested in making Thanksgiving more meaningful for those less fortunate are invited to contribute to a University Police Food Drive.
Items such as instant mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberries, creamed corn, stuffing, vegetables, pie filling, canned hams, apple cider, marshmallows, rolls and pie crusts are requested and may be delivered to the University Police Building at the corner of State College Boulevard and Gymnasium Drive. Contributions will be accepted 24 hours a day until 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18.
The drive is being held in partnership with Mercy House Transitional Living Center, a nonprofit organization that provides housing and supportive services for a variety of homeless populations, including single individuals, mothers and their children and persons living with HIV and/or AIDS.
