Wide Range of Faculty Research Showcased in Recently Published Chapters, Articles

Ten Cal State Fullerton faculty members have recently had articles or book chapters published that reflect the diversity of research conducted on campus.
Recently published book chapters include:
Erualdo R. González, associate professor of Chicana and Chicano studies, co-authored "Culture-Led Downtown Regeneration or Creative Gentrification?" in "The Routledge Companion to Urban Regeneration" published in October.
William W. Haddad, professor emeritus of history, and Jasamin Rostam-Kolayi, associate professor of history, wrote “Imperialism and Its Manifestations in the Middle East,” in "The International Relations of the Contemporary Middle East: Subordination and Beyond" published in November by Routledge.
Among the recently or soon-to-be published articles:
Ajay Bhootra , assistant professor of finance, authored "On the Role of Intangible Information and Capital Gains Taxes in Long-Term Return Reversals" in the fall issue of Financial Management , and co-authored "The Timing of 52-Week High Price and Momentum" in the October issue of the Journal of Banking and Finance .
Gayle K. Brunelle , professor of history, saw her article, "The Assassination of the Sieur de Royville and the Debacle of the Compagnie de l’Amerique Equinoxial," published in the October issue of Terrae Incognitae.
Matthew E. Kirby, associate professor of geological sciences, and Edward J. Knell, assistant professor of anthropology, have co-authored a paper "Paleoarchaic Spatio-Temporal Pattering Around Pluvial Lake Mojave, Eastern Mojave Desert, California" to be published in an upcoming issue of the Journal of California and Great Basin Anthropology.
MyungJung "M.J." Kwon, assistant professor of political science, authored "Enterprising Government by Using Enterprise Funds: The Political and Financial Effects of Municipal Enterprise Fund Use" to be pushed in an upcoming issue of Public Administration Quarterly.
Zhuangjie Li, associate professor of chemistry and biochemistry, co-authored "Kinetics Study of the Reaction of OH Radicals With C5 –C8 Cycloalkanes at 240–340K Using the Relative Rate/Discharge Flow/Mass Spectrometry Technique" in the Sept. 20 issue of the Journal of Physical Chemistry A. Co-authors are graduate students Sumitpah Singh and Maria Fatima de Leon. Students Tien Q. Nguyen, Amy M. Bartrom, Kevin Tran and John L. Haan, from Li's research group, co-authored "Operation of the Alkaline Direct Formate Fuel Cell in the Absence of Added Hydroxide" published in the October issue of Fuel Cells.
William D. Marelich, professor of psychology, was a co-author on "Social Exchange and Social/Physical Topography of One-Night Stands in College-Age Students" that appeared in the Sept. 12 issue of the Electronic Journal of Human Sexuality.
