Biochem Major Participates in Amgen Scholars Program at the University of Washington

Biochemistry major Neha Ansari, a President’s Scholar, participated in the Amgen Scholars Program.
Neha Ansari, a junior majoring in biochemistry and a President's Scholar, participated in the Amgen Scholars Program at the University of Washington this past summer. The program provided undergraduates with hands-on scientific research experience to enhance professional skills and prepare them for graduate school. Ansari was one of 255 U.S. students selected for the program from a national pool of 3,640 applicants.
Ansari of Brea also attended the Amgen Scholars U.S. Symposium, held at UCLA and Amgen, where students learned about biotechnology and drug discovery and development, networked with other scholars and heard firsthand from leading scientists in industry and academia.
