Libraries Hold Keys to Researching Family Tree

A talk on genealogical holdings found in public and university libraries and archives will be held Oct. 24 at the Pollak Library. Cal State Fullerton history lecturer and genealogical expert Wendy Elliott-Scheinberg will discuss the importance of using the repositories when researching family history. Among the topics will be how to navigate through databases, photographs, local, regional and federal records and newspapers. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session. The discussion, "An Introduction to Genealogical Research: Sources in Public and University Libraries and Archives," will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Room 360 of Pollak Library. The program is free and open to the public.
