Cal State Fullerton and Western University of Health Sciences' colleges of Pharmacy and Optometry have partnered to create an early admission program for CSUF students pursuing health professions degrees. The linkage program saves students time and money in applying for professional schools, said Christina A. Goode, professor of chemistry and biochemistry and director of health professions advising.
The linkage program provides Western University colleges with a diverse group of students. “We specifically target groups of students who are underrepresented minorities, financially or socially disadvantaged, and students who have demonstrated a willingness to work with disadvantaged populations,” Goode added.
CSUF already has early admission agreements with Western University's College of Podiatric Medicine and the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific.
