Mazda Race Car Drivers Become Titans
Oct. 18, 2013
A pair of professional-level race car drivers became Titans this fall to major in mechanical engineering and join CSUF's Formula SAE racing team. Kenton Koch of Glendora and Elliott Skeer of Carlsbad will be drivers of the formula-style race car being designed and built for next June's international collegiate competition in Nebraska. The freshmen, who first started racing go-karts as children, are now winning drivers in Mazda Motorsports competitions. The Formula SAE race car is a joint project of the College of Engineering and Computer Sciences' Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and American Society of Mechanical Engineers student chapters.
