Titan Racing Team Takes on ‘California Challenge'

Oct. 2, 2013

CSUF's Formula Society of Automotive Engineers team is competing Oct. 5-6 in the first-ever California Challenge, part of the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon 2013 and XPO. The 11 a.m.-7 p.m. free public event at the Orange County Great Park in Irvine features energy-efficient vehicles. The formula-style race car, Titan VII, runs on gasoline, but would be considered "green" due to the efficient use of materials to reduce its weight, said team member Carlos Gibson. "This is a great opportunity for us to showcase our car and represent the College of Engineering and Computer Science."
