Being and Becoming in Botswana
Outstanding Professor Lecture Highlighted in Photo and Video
April 26, 2013
Campus and community members honored John A. Bock for his record of research and teaching by attending the 2011-2012 Outstanding Professor Award recipient's April 18 lecture on "Being and Becoming in Botswana." The presentation focused on the influences of social, ecological and cultural contexts on children's development among the Okavango Delta Peoples of Botswana.
Cal State Fullerton President Mildred García introduced the professor of anthropology, noting that he joined the campus in 2000 "to develop a program in bicoastal anthropology and lived up to that and more," including the establishment of the University's Center for Sustainability. Bock's lecture is available on video and additional photos from the event can be found on the University's Flickr page.
