Trio Win Top CSU Research Awards

Three Titans garnered top awards in the 27th annual California State University Student Research Competition May 10-11 at Cal Poly Pomona.

Biochemistry major Ashley Chui of Monterey Park won first place in undergraduate-biological and agricultural sciences; geology major Michelle Gevedon of Fullerton earned first place in graduate-physical and mathematical sciences; and psychology major Mariann Howland of Fullerton finished second in undergraduate-behavioral and social sciences. The annual competition, in which 194 students from throughout state participated, is held to promote excellence in undergraduate and graduate scholarly research and creative activity by recognizing outstanding student accomplishments throughout the 23 CSU campuses.
