Center for Boys and Men Open for Collaboration
May 6, 2013
The College of Health and Human Development has launched its Center for Boys and Men, a research and community outreach effort to address the mental health and other service needs of males. The center's open house April 15 introduced founding directors David Shepard and Rebekah Smart, associate professors of counseling and Matt Englar-Carlson, professor of counseling. Approved last summer, the center has opened and is actively seeking partnerships with scholars across campus and community organizations in areas related to the psychological well-being of boys and men. For more information about the center, contact Englar-Carlson, 657-278-5062.
