Student Teams to Compete in Game Showcase

April 24, 2013

Two Cal State Fullerton student teams are among the finalists participating in the April 27 IEEE Intercollegiate Game Showcase at UC Irvine. Computer science and art majors have roles ranging from animators to computer programmers. The Ruff Team created "Gaia's Edge: Rise of Darkness," and the Black & White Team's game is "Project UNMEI."

Last year, a CSUF team won the "Best Windows Phone Game" at the first IEEE Intercollegiate Computer Game Showcase.

This year's competition will be held from 2-4 p.m. in Donald Bren Hall and will feature five-minute game demonstrations followed by five-minute Q&As before a panel of game industry leaders. The winning team will be awarded the Student Game Cup to reside at the winning team's university until the following year. For more information about the competition, visit the Game Showcase website.
