Celebrating Hollywood's Biggest Night
College of Communications Hosts Annual Fundraiser Around Movie Award Gala
Feb. 8, 2013
Celebrate the Oscars in style by attending Cal State Fullerton's College of Communications Hollywood's Biggest Night event at UltraLuxe Cinemas in Anaheim GardenWalk.
Attendees at the Feb. 24 annual event can support student scholarships and enjoy a evening that begins with a red carpet walk and pre-show activities — such as trivia, best dressed and celebrity look-alike contests — before sitting down and cheering on their motion picture favorites on the big screen. Admission includes unlimited soft drinks and popcorn, goodie bags and other giveaways, in addition to four hours of free parking.
"This event brings the community together," said Michael Karg, director of development for the College of Communications. "UltraLuxe and CSUF began this event three years ago and it has grown into one of Orange County's unique and entertaining annual events. It's a fun evening out, at a wonderful location supporting a great cause."
"We are thrilled to host CSUF for the third year in a row. Not only does this wonderful event bring the community together, it raises money for students to continue their education," said Wally Schlotter, vice president of special projects at UltraStar Cinemas.
Titan alum Ryan Castle, CEO of CastlEntertainment and a 2010 communications graduate, will emcee the event along with communications major Mia McCormick. The Body Shop's "Glam Station" will provide touch-ups before the event to ensure that all are "camera ready" for the best dressed and celebrity look-alike contests.
Festivities kick off at 4 p.m. Advance general admission tickets are $20; Advance tickets for CSUF students are $15. The deadline to purchase advance tickets is Feb. 21.
GardenWalk tenants participating in the evening's event include apparel shop O'Neill, The Cheesecake Factory, The Body Shop, LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. and FiRE + iCE Grill + Bar.
Deadline to purchase online presale tickets, priced at $15 for CSUF students and $20 general admission, is Feb. 21. Tickets will be $25 at the door and are not guaranteed. Presale purchase is strongly recommended. For more information on the event, visit Hollywood's Biggest Night.
