Michael LaCour-Little, professor of finance and director of the Real Estate and Land Use Institute in Mihaylo College of Business and Economics, was the faculty winner in the first annual Institute of Real Estate Management-IREM Foundation writing competition. The contest was established to promote scholarship in the field of real estate property and asset management.
LaCour-Little, a member of the faculty since 2006, won for "Issues and Opportunities in Multifamily Property Management," which addresses both the strengths of the multifamily market segment and its need to acquire and develop talent. In 2011, he was ranked 17th in the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics top 50 listing of real estate research.
