March 15, 2013
Titan Motorsports, the College of Engineering and Computer Science student team building Titan VI, a Formula-SAE race car, will be among the teams featured at the Lifestyle Expo held during the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach April 19-21. The team was a big hit with crowds at the 2012 LA Auto Show last December.
The Titan team is preparing to compete at the 2013 Formula SAE June 19-22 at Lincoln Airpark in Lincoln, Neb.
Last year's team competed against 84 other national and international collegiate design teams at the 2012 Formula SAE West and outpacing California powerhouses Cal State Sacramento, Cal Poly SLO, San Diego State University, University of Southern California, and Cal State Long Beach to finish 31st overall. The CSUF F-SAE Titan V team included numerous underclassmen who will apply lessons learned this year to the 2012-13 F-SAE Titan VI project.
