On the same day as the May 2 Cal State Fullerton Showcase of STEM Student Talent, the College of Engineering and Computer Science received $104,000 gift from Raytheon Company to benefit future engineering students.

Half will fund a program pairing company engineers as mentors with students to design, build and test a working prototype for Raytheon's intelligent transportation systems technology patent. The balance will fund a program to promote women in engineering careers, scholarships and other endeavors to increase the number of students pursuing engineering professions.
