Opportunity for New and Future Titans to Learn About University

Incoming freshmen, community college transfer students and graduate students, as well as prospective students, their families and friends, will visit Cal State Fullerton April 13 during Welcome to Cal State Fullerton Day. The free, public event features tours, information workshops and a resource fair so that visitors can learn more about the university, its programs and services.
CNN legal analyst Rosa Elena Sahagun will speak in Spanish about immigration and fraud prevention during a 12:30 p.m. parents track program in Room 1502 of Mihaylo Hall.

8 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

- 8 a.m. Attendees can check in on the lawn west of the College of Engineering and Computer Science buildings. Campus leaders will welcome attendees and present an overview of the day's activities.
- 9 a.m.-noon Resource Fair with information about the university's eight colleges, degree programs, student services, and campus clubs and organizations is offered in the Quad, on the lawn adjacent to the Engineering and Computer Science buildings, outside Mihaylo Hall and on the Titan Walk.
- 9:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. Tours of the campus, including the new student housing complex and Gastronome dining facility will begin in the Quad.
- 9:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. Workshops will be offered on such topics as financial aid, freshman programs, orientation requirements and student housing options, plus other information for new students and their parents. Sessions targeting community college transfer students, future teachers and graduate students also are offered at various campus locations.
"This is an opportunity for Cal State Fullerton to show our Titan Pride to our new fall students, as well as to others considering our university in the future," said Delia Tijerina, assistant director of pre-college programs in the Office of University Outreach/Veterans Certification. "We're proud of our campus and believe that when students and their families know more about us, they will share our enthusiasm."
Pre-registration by April 11 is available online. Registration on day of event begins at 8 a.m.
Free parking is available in both the Eastside and Nutwood parking structures (off Nutwood Avenue). Maps and directions are available online.
