Shelly Arsneault, professor of political science, has been named this year’s recipient of the Harry Scoville Award for Academic Excellence by the Southern California Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration.

The award, bestowed annually since 1958, is presented to an individual who has made a significant contribution to public administration through teaching, research, writing and related activities.

Arsneault last year created the university’s City Management Fellowship Program, a year-long mentorship program that pairs CSUF MPA students with Orange County city managers. She received her award June 20 in Los Angeles.
