A new fully online master’s degree program in statistics to meet the growing demand for professionals with knowledge and training in data science and quantitative analysis begins this fall. The new M.S. program, approved by the CSU Chancellor’s Office, also gives students the option to attend classes in person. All courses are offered live via a two-way stream, said Mori Jamshidian, professor of mathematics and graduate adviser for the program.

"It is the first fully online statistics program that is delivered via live stream in the CSU system, and I believe in the nation,” he said. The College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics' graduate degree program will prepare students for Ph.D. schools, as well as for work in industry, business and government.

This latest program brings to nine the number of fully online master's degree programs offered by Cal State Fullerton. In addition, two CSUF bachelor's degree completion programs are available through Cal State Online. For more information about the master's degree program in statistics, contact Jamshidian at 657-278-2398 or, or visit the website.
