July 15, 2013
Cal State Fullerton's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute will host a Saturday, Aug. 10, open house to inform campus and community members of the wide range of classes and activities available to those "north of 50." The 9 a.m. program will be offered in the Ruby Gerontology Center and will feature information on this fall's lineup of classes and programs, as well as the benefits of joining the OLLI program.
Among the yearly offerings are lecture series on art, science and "Transitions in Retirement"; instruction in foreign languages, use of computers, smart phones and iPads, creative writing, sculpture and painting; and activities like tap dancing and tennis. Members also receive free admission to Titan sports events, access to the Pollak Library, and opportunities to audit classes.
