Education Graduates Named Carr Fellows

Six CSUF graduates who earned master's degrees in education were named the College of Education's 2013 Carr Fellows, in recognition of their academic achievement and potential to make outstanding contributions to the profession. Fellows, their concentrations, titles and schools are:

  • Ryan Alvarez, educational administration, government and economics teacher, Ontario High School
  • Kelli Bourne, secondary education, health education and life science teacher, Lakeside Middle School, Irvine Unified School District
  • Michelle Gonzalez, higher education, academic adviser, CSUF feshman programs
  • Lauren Rae Kelly, special education, kindergarten education specialist in an autism-specific classroom, Anaheim City School District
  • Tiffany Muñiz, reading, teacher at Ormondale School, Portola Valley School District
  • Monica True, curriculum and instruction, seventh-grade language arts and social studies teacher, Orchard Hills School, Tustin Unified School District

The award is named for the late Edwin R. Carr, CSUF professor emeritus of education and economics.
