June 5, 2013
Brothers Kevin and John Kuper of Diamond Bar, from a family of CSUF physics graduates, are among the latest recipients of scholarships named for alumnus and donor Dan Black '67 (B.A. physics). He was among the special guests celebrating student achievements at the 30th annual awards reception for those in College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
Sophomore Kevin Kuper is one of five students who received a $4,000 Dan Black Physics Scholarship to pursue a physics-related career. Other recipients are: juniors Paul Ayers of Whittier and James Hasler of Riverside; and seniors Sean Hatcher of Anaheim and Danny Orton of Placentia. John Kuper, a junior, joins sophomores Nousha Afshari of Mission Viejo and Phillipe Rodriguez of Hacienda Heights as this year's recipients of $2,500 Dan Black Physics-Business Scholarships.
