Indicators of Biological Age Are Slowly Coming Into Focus

The quest to identify the telltale biomarkers of aging may mean that aging-rate tests may someday be standard in annual physicals, raising privacy and social equity issues according to a newly published article that gives the last word to John Davis, associate professor of philosophy, who joined the Cal State Fullerton faculty in 2007.
"Some of us will be relatively short-lived, fast-aging "less fortunate," and others will be long-lived, slow-aging "more fortunates," Davis predicted in the piece that ran in the Times' science section, giving entirely new meaning to age discrimination.
