Bolstering CSUF Student Access, Success
Aug. 13, 2013
CSUF will receive more than $800,000 from the California State University this academic year as part of a systemwide effort to ensure student success, as well as increase student access to courses needed to progress toward a degree. Of this funding, $359,342 will go toward 10 high-demand courses proposed for redesign by the colleges of Humanities and Social Sciences and Natural Sciences and Mathematics; and $458,000 for Supplemental instruction, shown to increase academic performance. CSUF's chemistry and mathematics courses were highlighted during the CSU's summer e-Academies where faculty members taught peers about proven practices implemented in their redesigned courses.
