'Ayotzinapa: From Pain to Hope' Lecture Nov. 10

Luis Hernández Navarro, editor of the "Opinión" page of Mexico's La Jornada newspaper, will be on campus Monday, Nov. 10 for a lecture in Spanish titled "Ayotzinapa: Entre el Dolor y la Esperanza" (Ayotzinapa: From Pain to Hope). The presentation will focus on the recent case of 43 students, from a teachers' college in Ayotzinapa, who went missing from the town of Iguala while on their way to a protest. English translations will be provided for the 2:30 p.m. talk in Room 322 of the Humanities-Social Sciences Building. The lecture is sponsored by the Department of Chicana and Chicano Studies and Pomona College. More information is available via email.
