- Mira Farka, associate professor of economics and co-director of the Center for Economic Analysis and Forecasting, previously served on Wall Street as a research consultant and an economist with Deutsche Bank in New York.
- Emile Haddad, president and chief executive officer of FivePoint Communities, a real estate management company that manages master planned communities, including the Great Park Neighborhoods in Irvine.
This year's forecast will look at the contrast between "a brighter cyclical near-term outlook — 'Breaking Free' — and the secular challenges that confront us in the longer-term — 'Breaking Bad'," Farka explained. "We will be discussing the juxtaposition between these two extremes and also discuss risks to the outlook. Chief among these is the path to normalization of interest rates," she said.
