Oct. 22, 2014
Steve Wilder, vice president of risk management at the Walt Disney Co., and Mark DeLillo, director of risk management for home builder Taylor Morrison Inc., will be discussing the finer points of managing risk, as part of the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics' Risk Management Week activities.
The presentation will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3, in Room 3230 of Steven G. Mihaylo Hall.
Wilder has served with the Disney company since 1987 and is responsible for directing Disney's worldwide corporate risk management program. DeLillo, in addition to serving with Taylor Morrison, is also president of Beneva Indemnity Co. and Taylor Woodrow Insurance Services, and a certified risk management faculty member of the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research. Both men are recipients of the Harry and Dorothy Goodell Award, the highest individual honor awarded by the Risk Management Society.
DeLillo's visit to campus is underwritten by a Spencer Foundation Risk Manager in Residence grant. He will be meeting with students Nov. 3-5. For more information, call the Center for Insurance Studies at 657-278-2045.
