Las Posadas on Campus

Mesa Cooperativa and the Chicana and Chicano Resource Center host the Christmas tradition of Las Posadas at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, in front of the Humanities-Social Sciences Building.
Activities include piñata making, learning how to sway folkloric skirts and making "papel picado" — elaborate designs cut on paper. Attendees also will enjoy tamales and "champurrado," a chocolate corn- and masa-based drink.
