Faculty, Alumni to Present Research at National Public Health Meeting

Health science faculty members, students and alumni will be among presenters at the national 142nd annual meeting of the American Public Health Association in New Orleans.
The Nov. 15-19 meeting and exposition is expected to attract 15,000 health researchers and professionals from around the world, delivering oral, poster and roundtable presentations.
Cal State Fullerton presentations will include research on smoking behaviors among native Hawaiian Pacific Islanders, as well as research on the design and efficacy of a multilingual, multicultural HPV vaccine education intervention. Other research topics include: reducing health disparities among refugee and immigrant communities, evaluation of ventilation systems for nail salons, and developing a transdisciplinary course to train future members of the HIV workforce.
