Center Hosts QuickBooks Workshop for Students
Oct. 14, 2014
The Orange County/Inland Empire Small Business Development Center, hosted by Mihaylo College of Business and Economics, will lead a three-hour QuickBooks workshop for students Friday, Oct. 24. The free workshop provides students with the hands-on opportunity to put their financial skills to practice with effective management of bookkeeping, sales, vendors and customers.
"As a direct resource for small businesses and entrepreneurs in the Inland Empire and Orange County, the SBDC recognizes the importance of fostering and encouraging financial management opportunities for students before their graduation date. It is of utmost importance for the SBDC to help transform business students into business leaders by bridging the gap between academic theory and practical business application," said Katrina Payne-Smith, SBDC associate director.
Since 2003, Cal State Fullerton's Mihaylo College of Business and Economics has been responsible for the administration of the centers in Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties. The lead and regional centers provide consulting, training, business plan and financial statement reviews, technical and international trade assistance, as well as access to capital, and are supported by an annual U.S. Small Business Administration contract.
Students interested in participating must register through the Student Portal. For more information, call 657-278-3195.
