Victorian Studies Conference

Cal State Fullerton's Department of English, Comparative Literature and Linguistics, and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences host the annual conference of the Victorian Interdisciplinary Studies Association of the Western United States Oct. 16-18 at the Fullerton Marriott.

This year's conference, "Victorian Collections and Collecting," includes several panel discussions moderated by campus faculty members.

The keynote speaker is Anne Helmreich, senior program officer at the Getty Foundation in Los Angeles; her talk, "Why Did the Victorians Collect? Representation and Reality — The Case of the Horsfall Museum," takes place Oct. 17.

Attendees pay a registration fee. More information is available on the organization's website.
