Bravo: Student Collects Bras for Free The Girls

Cal State Fullerton social work student Nancy Truong formed her first bra-collecting initiative in 2013 as a way to aid human trafficking victims in Africa.
This year, Truong has collected more than 300 bras. She is participating in the Free The Girls project, an international campaign that collects and then distributes gently used bras to women in the southeast African country of Mozambique who have been rescued from human trafficking rings.
The women are then able to sell the clothing while going to school, while improving their health and caring for their families, Truong said. She is planning on forming another drive next year. Continue reading.
