Alumna Works on Community Renewal Project
Vivian Pham '04 (B.A. political science), vice president and community development officer with Wells Fargo, recently spent six months away from the world of banking and delved into community development, working with Oak View Renewal Partnership.
Her time with the nonprofit was made possible through the bank's Volunteer Leave Program. She was one of 24 bank team members from across the country to receive the honor. Pham, who has served with Wells Fargo for six years, has been involved with the the partnership since 2010 as a board member. She was elected board chair last year and during her volunteer leave focused on expanding the organization's workforce development efforts.
"I think place-based initiatives are the way communities can better themselves," said Pham, also serves as vice chair of NeighborWorks Orange County and as a member of the board of directors for Orange County Community Housing Corp.
