Cooper, Fisher to Discuss 'Preparing for Branch Campus Emergencies'
March 13, 2014
Susan M. Cooper, dean of Cal State Fullerton's Irvine Campus, and Susan Fisher, CSUF's emergency management coordinator, will discuss "What Would You Do? Preparing for Branch Campus Emergencies" April 9 at the 2014 National Association of Branch Campus Administrators conference in Newport Beach. The Irvine Campus is hosting the four-day program.
Cooper, who was named dean of the Irvine Campus in 2008, currently serves as president of the national association.
Fisher has served as a member of the campus community since 1991 and as the university's emergency management coordinator since 2009.
The CSUF branch campus was established with support form the CSU in 1989 to meet the higher-education needs of central and south Orange County. It was originally located in Mission Viejo on the southeast corner of Saddleback College, where the first classes were held in fall 1989. In 2002, it was moved to the former El Toro Marine Corps Air Station and leased facilities there until relocating in January 2011 to its current location at the 3 Banting in Irvine.
