Education Doctoral Students Showcase Research Projects
Excellence in Educational Practice' Focus of Feb. 18 Symposium

Dawn R. Person, professor of educational leadership and director of the Center for Research on Educational Access and Leadership, will welcome attendees at the upcoming symposium.
Cal State Fullerton's doctoral candidates in education, as well as Ed.D. alumni, will present their research at a Feb. 18 research symposium and panel discussion on "Pursuing Excellence in Educational Practice." The symposium is free and open to the public.
Doctoral students and alumni from the PreK-12 leadership and community college leadership programs will present their research on best practices in educational leadership.

5-6 p.m. Poster session featuring doctoral research
6-7 p.m. Panel discussion featuring Ed.D. alumni Edward D. Atkinson, assistant superintendent, human resources, Fullerton Joint Union High School District; Yvonne Rodriguez, assistant principal, Paramount High School-West Campus, Paramount Unified School District; and Parisa Soltani, EOP&S/CARE acting director and counselor, Irvine Valley College. Natalie Tran, associate professor of educational leadership, will moderate; Beverly L. Young, CSU assistant vice chancellor for teacher education and public school programs, will give comments.
"This symposium is an opportunity for us to celebrate the accomplishments of our doctoral students and share with our broader, local community research findings that can help solve educational problems that our doctoral students discover through their dissertation projects," said Person.
