Campus Prepares for Emergencies
May 14, 2014
An earthquake, a fire, an explosion, a shooter on campus ... whatever the scenario, minutes count in the saving of lives.
For that reason, Cal State Fullerton regularly holds evacuation drills and shelter-in-place exercises to help prepare for a crisis or emergency.
The next campuswide evacuation drill is scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday, May 19.
"It should only take about 10 minutes," said Sue Fisher, campus emergency management coordinator in University Police, who stressed the importance of such drills for all members of the campus community. "Times of crisis are not times to figure out your emergency plan."
