Philosopher to Discuss 'Ignorance, Goodwill and Excellent Research'

Carla Fehr, Wolfe chair in scientific technological literacy and associate professor of philosophy at the University of Waterloo, will discuss "Ignorance, Goodwill and Excellent Research" May 8 as part of the Cal State Fullerton Philosophy Department's spring colloquium series.

Fehr's research explores "the areas of socially relevant philosophy of science, philosophy of biology and feminist epistemology," according to the University of Waterloo. Fehr is a founder of the American Philosophical Association, Committee on the Status of Women, Site Visit Program, and chairs the Status of Women and Equity Committee at the University of Waterloo.
$2 per hour or $8 for a daily permit Monday through Friday. Details available online.
