OLLI Recognized by La Habra City Council

Cal State Fullerton's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute was honored at the May 5 La Habra City Council meeting.The campus organization was awarded a city proclamation commemorating its 35th anniversary.

Mayor Tom Beamish presented the proclamation to Michael Stover, OLLI president, and on behalf of OLLI, Stover presented Beamish with a certificate recognizing the city's financial support for the construction of the Ruby Gerontology Center in 1988. The center, which houses OLLI offices and classes, also serves as a research facility and conference center.

This year marks the 35th anniversary for OLLI, a self-supporting University affiliate group of more than 1,300 retired and semiretired individuals dedicated to lifelong learning.
