Student Films to Screen at Festival’s Collegiate Showcase

Short films directed and produced by Cal State Fullerton radio-TV-film majors have been selected for screening as part of the Collegiate Showcase at the Newport Beach Film Festival.
The screenings begin at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, April 27, at the Studio at Sage Hill School, 20402 Newport Coast Dr., 92657. Tickets are $5 for the 134-minute program of all eight shorts. Tickets may be purchased online or at the venue prior to the screening.
Undergraduate student crews performed all aspects of film production, from script development through post-production, explained Jacqueline B. Frost, professor of radio-TV-film and liaison to the festival. The short films, which range from 2 to 17 minutes in length, include:
"Youth Love," directed and produced by Dustin Ong of Lakewood
"All That Remains," directed and produced by Steven Jurich of Fullerton
"Branching Out," directed by Alex Perez of Whittier and produced by Curtis Gomez of San Diego
"Moon Dancer," directed by Rosendo Hernandez of Anaheim and produced by Stephanie Barnes of Riverside
"Dream'n Los Angeles," directed and produced by Abraham Williams of Orange
"'RGB' – Stories in Light," directed and produced by Peter Klemek of Fullerton
"Digital Cinematography Workshop 2012," directed and produced by Tafari Gonzalez-Aird of Fullerton
"Disconnected," directed and produced by Carlos Cortes of Irvine
