Chinese Educational Delegation Visits Campus
March 11, 2014
A delegation of faculty members and the provost from China's Shenyang City University is on campus, taking part in workshops and meetings on teaching and university administration sponsored by University Extended Education.
The university is part of a growing number of Chinese universities that began as public institutions, but have been purchased by private individuals or companies, explained Irene Matz, associate dean in the College of Communications. "In the case of Shenyang, the new owner has embarked on an improvement effort that seeks to model the administration, teaching and the evaluation of teaching on American-based models," she added. "The current delegation is one of several that has visited Fullerton and interacted with administrators and faculty from many discipline and units across the campus."
